I am really new to this. I was given an assignment in class to go to
the letterboxing web site and write about it. However, I am not
seeing where I can find one of these boxes in the Milwaukee area.
Any ideas?

you look here?
http://letterboxing.org/BoxFind.php
Type in your city in the appropriate field and viola!
They even have a Bob Uecker!!!
How about doing a write up on LBXing and plant a box as part of the article.
It would be neat to tract all the visits and do a follow up article at a latter date.
Good luck

Try AtlasQuest -- you can easily search by city. I found 72 boxes within 25 miles of Milwaukee.
